Best chin chin recipe, with a touch of class. I love love love chin chin, one of the best snack the kids and I look forward to. Chin chin is also a snack popular at African/Nigerians party, give this recipe a good try and you will be lucky you did. If health conscious you can bake them in the oven.

Ingredients

500g Flour (I used self raising flour, but Plain flour can be used, 1/2 Tsp  can baking powder can be added to the plain flour for a similar effect)
120g Granulated sugar
1Tsp Cinnamon (grated)
65g Butter
1 Egg
85ml Milk
Oil for frying

Step 1. Get the ingredients together

Step 2. In a bowl add in the flour, cinnamon, sugar, egg and butter

Step 3. Then the milk

Step 4. Using your fingers or a dough mixer, combine the ingredients together

Step 5. Combine until it forms a ball, and keep the bowl almost clean. Allow it to rest for some few minutes.

Step 6. Once rested, dust your working surface with some flour, then roll out as thinly as possible.

Step 7. After roll, start cutting into small shapes of your choice

Step 8. Place your deep frying pan on the cooker with oil or switch on you deep  fat fryer, let the oil heat up. Once heated, add some of the chin chin dough to the oil (making sure their are well spaced).

Step 9. Start frying

Step 10. Once golden on all side, take the chin chin out. Allow the oil to drain by pour the chin chin on a kitchen tissue towel or leaving them in the deep fat fryer basket.

Finally its time to serve, with a bottle or can of chilled coke or any drink of your choice......
