Close to perfect krispy creme donut recipe.... The best doughnut recipe till date

I say DONUT, you say DOUGHNUT!!!
Guess what? We're both saying the same thing! I love donuts with great passion, I always have to resist them when passing by krispy creme; a battle against the body, mind and soul.

FOR THE DOUGH;

650g Plain flour (Strong bread flour can also be used)
110g Icing sugar
14g Dried active yeast
80g Butter
2 Eggs
350ml whole milk (Evaporated milk can also be used)
60ml warm water
1 Tsp salt
1Tsp cinnamon (or any flavour of your choice)

FOR THE GLAZE

2 Cups icing sugar
80g Butter
3-4 Tbsp water
1Tsp cinnamon

METHOD

Step 1. Pour the yeast and 10g of icing sugar into the water, this would help to activate the yeast

Step 2. Measure the flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon and egg into a large bowl

Step 3. Add in the activated yeast...

Step 4. Heat the milk and butter on the cooker,( not boiling, just warm).

Step 5. Pour in the heated milk mixture, into the flour mix

Step 6. Using a spoon, mixer or fingers... combine the whole ingredients thoroughly

Step 7. Once properly combined, place in a warm place for 50mins -1hr, (either inside the oven, microwave or just cover with a towel then place in a warm place).

Step 8.  Roughly after 1hr, bring the dough out (it should have doubled it size).

Step 9. Dust your working surface with some flour (this prevents the dough from sticking to your working surface). Now roll out the dough to about 2,1/2 to 3inches thick.

Step 10. With a large and small round cutter, cut out the dough one at a time. Cutting the big dough first, the using the small cutter to make a well in the middle.

Step 11. After cutting, place all on a tray, the cover with a clean kitchen towel.. Allowing the dough to rise for another 30-40mins

Step 12. Heat up the deep fat fryer,  I used deep fryer, but feel free to use a wok or deep frying pan). Once heated, start dropping in the dough one at a time. A fork can be used to turn them around.

Step 13. Once browned on both sides, get the sieve out, so excess oil can drain off.. Then place on a lined tray.

Step 14. See how gorgeous and fluffy it looks on the inside..... HEAVENLY!!!

TO MAKE THE GLAZE;.

Step 15. Place a pot on the cooker (very low heat), add in the butter, sugar and cinnamon... Making sure to stir, if too thick add the water one tablespoon at a time.

Step 16. Start glazing the donut, but dipping them one at a time... upside down into the butter mix.

Now, all that's left is EAT EAT EAT and EAT!!!
